The third grade team met district-wide to review and finalize our ELA and Math benchmark tests for quarter two. Collaboratively, we discussed individual questions and sought to create assessments that were skill balanced, based on the standards we have covered in our classrooms and that were aligned with our current pacing guide.
September 19th
Third grade teachers from all three elementary sites met to revise the quarter one Math and ELA Benchmarks. We discussed pacing and how to administer tests with media components. We also looked at math materials that are being piloted for potential adoption. Finally, we formed subcommittees to create Math and ELA Benchmarks for the remainder of the year.
August 29th
The third grade team met and discussed information share with grade level leaders. We scheduled field trips for the remainder of the year. We worked as a team to set Accelerated Reader goals for each student. We developed a schedule for the Google Apps for Education roll out. Lastly we looked at ways to challenge high achieving students using enrich and performance tasks.
